Joint TAUC-NMAPC Statement on Upcoming Changes to EHS Department

Wayne CreasapARLINGTON, VA - The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC) and the National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee, Inc. (NMAPC) would like to provide an update on upcoming changes to our joint Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) activities.

Wayne Creasap, Senior Director of EHS for TAUC and NMAPC, has accepted a position with the Ironworkers International Union in their safety department. He will be leaving in the early fall to pursue this new opportunity. Everyone at TAUC and NMAPC wishes Wayne the best and thanks him for his more than 10 years of hard work and dedication not only to our organizations, but to improving the health and safety of our entire industry.

"Wayne has been instrumental in developing major safety recognition programs for both of our organizations," said Steve Lindauer, CEO of TAUC and Impartial Secretary/CEO of NMAPC. "Under his leadership and guidance, TAUC's Thomas J. Reynolds Safety Awards and NMAPC's Zero Injury Safety Awards have seen incredible growth over the past decade. Both are now considered among the most prestigious and rigorously vetted awards programs in the union construction field."

Lindauer continued, "Wayne has also done an outstanding job representing TAUC and NMAPC on numerous EHS-related stakeholder partnerships, including the Construction Industry Safety Coalition, the NABTU Opioid Task Force, NORA Construction Sector Council and the ANSI A10 Accredited Standards Committee. And I haven't even mentioned the priceless assistance and advice he has given to TAUC members and the NMAPC over the years. The Ironworkers are lucky to be adding to their ranks someone as skilled and accomplished as Wayne, and we wish him all the best in his new endeavor."

"Change is a constant in our industry - with one exception," Lindauer added. "I can assure both TAUC members and NMAPC partners that our organizations' commitment to a strong and robust safety agenda will never waver. Safety has been, and always will be, our north star, the single principle that guides all we do."
