Bill Tweet honored by NMAPC

Bill Tweet, longtime Iron Workers representative on the National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee, Inc. (NMAPC) and member of the Board of Directors, was honored by the Committee for his service at the recent 2011 TAUC Leadership Conference.

Tweet, who is retiring to his home in San Diego after more than 40 years with the Iron Workers, was presented with a plaque by NMAPC Impartial Secretary and CEO Steve Lindauer.

"I wanted to take this opportunity to recognize Bill for his dedication and service to the NMAPC," Lindauer said. "Bill, your friends and colleagues wish you all the best."

"I never thought I would be an assistant to the Iron Workers General President, working with the owners I see here today and with the NMAPC - it's wonderful," Tweet told conference attendees. "I know I have a lot of contractor friends in this room too, from 1967 all the way up to today. Now I'm looking forward to going back to San Diego, hanging out at the beach and doing whatever I want to do!"

TAUC joins with its sister organization NMAPC in congratulating Bill Tweet on a job well done and wishing him the best in his retirement.
