Re: Upgrades and enhancements to SER online filing process

The National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee, Inc. (NMAPC) recently completed several important upgrades to the Site Extension Request (SER) online filing process. These enhancements were designed to help users manage their SER filings more easily and efficiently. The changes outlined below are part of the NMAPC's ongoing efforts to ensure that the NMAPC Program is as transparent and user-friendly as possible.

CONFIRMATION E-MAIL: Beginning Thursday, June 28, each time an SER is successfully filed, an automatic confirmation e-mail will be sent to the filer and/or the primary contact for the signatory contractor. The automatic confirmation will give contractors an additional level of certainty and peace of mind that the SER was received into the NMAPC system. We strongly recommend that contractors keep copies of all confirmation e-mails for their records. (PLEASE NOTE: If you do not receive an automatic confirmation in your e-mail inbox, check your spam or junk mail folder. Some e-mail systems will block automatically generated e-mails. If this is the case, you will need to add the e-mail address webmaster@nmapc.org to your safe or approved sender list.)

TWO-WEEK NOTIFICATION E-MAIL: All contractors that file SERs after Thursday, June 28, will receive a notification e-mail two weeks prior to the approximate end date they entered when filing the SER. The notification simply serves as a reminder that the SER will soon expire. It is the contractor's responsibility to take action (if any) regarding the SER, if they intend to continue to perform the work in question beyond the approximate end date.

FINAL REVIEW: After filling in all of the required information, users will now have the opportunity to review the final SER and make any necessary changes before clicking "Submit" and formally submitting it to the International Union(s).

These upgrades require NO ACTION on the part of signatory contractors. Again, users who file SERs beginning Thursday, June 28 will automatically receive the confirmation and two-week notification e-mails, and will also have the ability to review the SER information before submitting.

The NMAPC hopes all users find the upgrades to be helpful. If you have any questions or comments regarding the changes, please contact the NMAPC administrative offices at (703) 841-9707. Questions regarding specific SERs should be referred to the appropriate participating International Union(s).
